Apps Install on Phone

I wrote an app and am trying to install it on my 3G at home. I have read all I can find and tried everything that I read and I just get the message:

error: device not found

Can anyone help me with this?

What OS are you using? Did you try a different USB cable, that is what solved it for me.

When your phone is plugged into your computer with the USB cable provided with the device you have to make sure that you have the debug setting enabled:

Menu > Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging

Make sure that is checked.
