Installing a ellipsis 8 in a car a head unit

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping that i can find the answers that I need here on the forums. I have an Elipsis 8 tablet that i was thinking of installing my my 2007 honda Ridgleine instead of my original head unit. I got the Ellipsis as apresent and thought that this would be a good project for it since i don't use it at all. it is from Verizon and it is 4G LTE. What i'm looking for is a couple of things.

First I noticed that just about every time i look for an install on this it is for a Nexus 7. i know that one of the reasons is that the Nexus 7 supports audio from the USB. Does anyone know if the Ellipsis 8 does or how I can test that?

Second I know that I will need an amp and I guess a DAC. So What i'm looking for is a list of parts that i will need to replace my OEM head unit with the tablet. I'm looking for econimical solutions to this as I don't want to spend over 110.00 on any one part except for maybe the amp. If this questions and answer has alraedy been posted and you can at least point me in the right direction that would be great to.

Here is what i know that i need. 1) Amp. 2) tablet. 3) double din mounting bracket for my vehicle. 4) wiring harness for my vehicle. 5) DAC I think? 6) Charging capabilities.

Any help that you experts can give woud be much appriciated.

thank you

I have been thinking about doing the same thing, but I already have a double din receiver with Bluetooth capability. I am going to move that into my center console, extending the wires. I plan to install the tablet into the empty dash and stemming audio via Bluetooth, mainly I want navigation. I deliver pizza for a living.
