installing apps from the market onto my phone

i am quite young and am comfused about getting my apps off the android market onto my phone. my computer doesnt see the phone when i plug it in to the usb (but my phone can), can anyone please help.​

Make sure you change to USB mass storage on your phone.

Is there a reason why you want to use the computer to install apps instead of downloading directly to the phone?

OP, you could also acquire a Dropbox account, use a file explorer to (attempt to) copy the .apk file, and use the share function to store it there.
