Installing my own Applications onto Samsung SmartHub TV

Hi, I understand that the Samsung Android TV runs on an Android System. With this knowledge in mind, i was just wondering, is it possible to actually install my own applications onto the SmartHub TV? Or better still, is it even possible to execute an adb shell over the SmartHub TV? Thanks in advanced

some Samsung SmartTVs run their own locked down Java-filled OS. others feature GoogleTV support which is currently locked into an Android Honeycomb fork. they use Google Play like any other device, but lack the ability to transfer files from USB if i am not mistaken. you can try side-loading the app from a website if you have one or a file hosting site, my Google TV box has the ability to install from 'unknown sources'

i would bet on the 'Smart Hub' being a non-Google smart TV. the Smart Hub is what [barely] passes for a UI/desktop on anything from their lower-end Smart TVs to their mid-range Blu-Ray decks.
