Installing other device firmware on M8 OTT TV BOX

Hey,i wanted to know if im able to take another firmware of an Android Tv box and put it on the M8 ott tv box.
For example something like the Xtreamer Wonder firmware and just use it on this box

Not familiar enough to know if the bootloader will allow it; if it's rootable; or if a custom Recovery is available for it. As the M8 becomes more popular, no doubt that developers will pick up on it.
