Android Question

The problem I have with my droid phone (Galaxy Note GT-N7000) is that after some time with ever upgrading apps there is message " Insufficient Device Storage". Non of my friends with Apple and Windows phone have such a problem. I have searched for a solution but all in vain. It would be great to address this problem for anyone who is going to buy a smartphone since it is ridiculous that Google says that number of apps in Google play is near App store but it doesn't matter how many apps you can have on your phone.

Welcome to Android Forums!

There are two categories of memory on an Android device: user memory and system memory.

User memory contains your app data, pics, videos, music, etc. System memory contains the operating system, system apps, call log, contacts, text messages, etc. If your call log gets too long or you have thousands of messages backed up from months or years, that will take up memory.

You can clear app caches, delete the call log and clear out old messages. SMS Cleaner is free in the Google store and can delete old messages as YOU select. Good luck.

It's great to have you here :)
