Help Insufficient Memory

pjo1966

Newbie
Lately I've been getting an insufficient memory message. Lately I've uninstalled a lot of apps and have deleted most of the files in my downloads folder. The message persists. I tried to download a one page pdf and kept getting the message (I haven't figured out how to delete those notifications). I'm still a year away from my next upgrade. I'd like to avoid doing a hard reset except as a last resort. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Get a bigger memory card, or maybe just move some things from internal to the one you have if its not full.

I don't think it's the storage that's full. Have you tried a reboot? I think it's probably an app that is causing a memory leak. Any new apps that you recently added? I have tasker, and when I don't clear my cache our reboot often I get a warning about my memory as well...

I've rebooted. The only new app I installed lately was Lyft, and I uninstalled it a day later because it was a huge drain on the battery.

Ant suggestions on how to get rid of the notifications? I was really surprised when they came back after a reboot.

Can you take a screenshot of the notification and one of your available memory screen?
I'll see if I can help.

Thanks. I took care of the notifications. Also I found that my internal storage is completely maxed out. I need to clear stuff out or move more apps to the card.

No. It took me 7 days to check the forum for replies. During that time I had discovered what the problem was.
