Insufficient storage available

When installing an app from the play store or updating I am getting the error in the title above. I thought I read somewhere this may be due to a setting in SuperSU Pro. I am not sure about this at all. I have 152 Mb storage available in the phone, so that is not the problem. Any ideas on this problem?

Kinda sounds like the problem

In this case it was an update. It doesn't make any difference which one. Happens with almost all updates.
Latest one was "Sense flip clock & weather." Developed by droid27.

Try clearing the data from the play store app. You'll know when you've successfully cleared the data because you'll have to login again.

Oooooh! That made a mess of things! Now everything is starting to auto update. Had to shut off phone before some "stuff" I don't want updated gets in there. Now I have to figure out how to stop that.

Yes, I Googled it on my lap top that was on. Did the log in to store and tried the update. Same error.
????

All this just doesn't add up. While play store was "wide open" to install everything, five apps were updated. The error of not enough space never showed up during these auto updates. ???

I've never disabled auto updates, maybe this is the error you are seeing is a symptom of having auto updates off.
Just a suggestion, how about just letting auto updates do its thing then removing the updates from the apps you don't want to update, there will most likely be an uninstall updates button in the app properties.

I appreciate your thoughts, but, I have had the auto updates off for many months ever since rooting this phone. I have also not had this problem until about two weeks ago. Anytime I was notified of an update, I did so and they loaded OK. No error.
.
I like SwiftKey keyboard. Before the root, Google keyboard would override it. Remove Google and it would come back. How? I don't know. Since root I don't want that Google keyboard any chance to "work" it's way back in phone. Reason for auto update to be off.

No that is not the problem. I have 152 Mb of space for app storage left on the phone. Something is preventing it from being used. Post #1 states that.
.
Man, this new software need some work. The not posting and then double posting is a bummer.

Go to the playstore and see if you can download an app called Market Fix, this has worked for other members. :D

I went to playstore, found it, and it loaded and does nothing. It has a ton of bad reviews and my phone is another one. Tried to update a few apps and still have same error. Bummer.

Sorry to here :( The only other thing is to back everything up on your pc, and do a factory reset from recovery .

Did you try going to settings > applications > manage > all, scroll down to Google play, force stop, clear data, uninstall updates, then reboot your phone, you should now be able to download from Playstore :D that has worked for me in the past.

An old trick I used on my meager droids was to search all the built-in apps and uninstall their updates. That provides a lot of space but also hinders the phone's operation.
