Interesting pictures

I thought we needed a thread for interesting, fascinating, or simply thought provoking pictures.
I found these pictures of the moon beautiful. They are supposed to be the clearest pictures ever taken of the moon.

One of my personal photographs, that is my bedroom ceiling but the brightness does remind me of the sun from time to time, I have looked at the same ceiling as far as I can remember..Makes me wonder what is underneath it?
