Help intermittent one-second buzzing sound

I have an AT&T S5 with the standard software.

Can someone, please, tell me what that buzz means and what my options are? Can I turn it off?

can you describe a bit better what you are hearing, and when you hear it?
ie, is it just as you receive a text message?

all of the vibration features are programmable, on/off your pleasure.

Thanks. It is a low pitched buzz or two independent of whether I get an email. Often it is accompanied by a higher pitched series of bell-like sounds.

I don't recall hearing anything like that if an app was not involved in producing it.

I suggest that you go into App Mgr and go thru the list of all Downloaded apps first, and turn OFF notifications on everyone of them.

The see how that effects the phone over the next 24 hours or so. Then, IF you really need a notification, just turn on that one... that is how I have my phone set up... SMS is the only notification I allow on my phone.
