Help Internal and SD card storage

Okay. So i have a 14 GB SD card. But there's still a lot of space left on it. Now, i don't know if this is with all Alcatel One Touch Fierce 2's but theres like... 2 GB of space. Now, i have my default write disk to SD card. And when i download an app, it gets saved to the SD card still, but i still have no space on my phone. Like, every thing i download or update is only supposed to affect the space on my SD card. At least i think so.

So anyway, my phone won't let me update or download or update apps because i have 'insufficient space'. But if my default write disk is set to SD card, why does this matter? I can't delete any apps because then, if i want them back, i won't be able to download them again because of the problem listed above. Does anyone else have this problem? And if so, how'd you fix it?

If you're not rooted already, I'd suggest you do. Having the one touch fierce 2 rooted is a big key to keeping the phone on a good lifespan. When you're rooted you can delete bloatware (carrier specific apps and whatnot) and you'll be able to get an app named Force2SD lite, because without forcing it, a lot of apps will refuse to install to the SD card by themselves. The small amount of internal storage on this phone is it's biggest setback, but using the right tools when it's rooted has made this the most reliable phone I've ever had.

Yea... im pretty sure its the same with all alcatel one touch fierce 2 phones... i cant explain why. just ended up with 2 of them. not very fond of them because of the issue ur describing... I rooted my phone using Kingroot BUT you have to also download an app called Antutu. first run antutu, do the benchmark test.. once the test gets to about 14-15% you home out and start kingoroot and the root process.. its probably not gonna root first try. so hold down the task button or recent tasks (the button on the far right with the 4 lines next to home) and close out of both kingroot and antutu then retry the process... make sure ur not running any other programs n it should root in about 3 tries... after that, i cant help you. try the force2sd lite like sean harkness suggested. or download blackmart to dl the full pro version. ive personally used Rom Toolbox Pro. theres an option where you can force to install apps to SD card, Internal, or Auto... install to SD seems to have worked.. i have a 32GB SD and i downloaded ALL my favorite games like Real Racing 3 which is like a 3GB + full download. my internal was still at 1.1GB free which is pretty good... but once i rebooted my phone, all my app icons where still there but when id click it, it said app not installed. ive tried atleast 2 dozen other options... app2sd, appmgr III, Link2SD, even SD a few of the SDFix apps... Havnt found anything that ACTUALLY works yet. If you or anyone has found a way, id appreciate the answer... this problem is driving me nuts too!
