Internal Memory vs. External Memory?

I am like most people on here...debating between 16gb or 32gb. Don't worry, I am not trying to ask which I should chose or ask what you guys are going to choose. I am just trying to figure some things out so that I could make a better decision.

Regardless of which I choose, I will be getting a 32 or 64gb micro sd. My plan is to put my music on there. I am unfamiliar with using external micro sd's.

Here are a couple questions...my music won't fill up my external micro sd. I don't have anywhere near 30gb of music...but maybe the extra space will give me an incentive to lol. Anways, can I program my camera/video recorder on my phone to save it straight to external? or do I have to manually transfer each pic?

Also, when you go to your phone and go to your photo app/shortcut...will those pics/vids still be that easily accessible if it were saved onto external memory? or would I have to go to a different place on my phone to see the pics?

I don't mind spending the extra $50 to get the 32gb version but If im using the external memory for my music and pics...basically the internal memory will just be used for apps and the processor..right? How many apps would you have to have to fill up 16gb? lol

in settings you are able to have photos and video save to external memory automatically and when you go to gallery photos on external and internal will be in the same place but individual windows and the one from the external sd will have a small icon to tell the difference. as far as how many apps you can save on the phone im not to sure but i know most of the newer phones allow you to save apps to sd also.

Thanks.

so say i get the 16gb and I filled it up to about 13gb. I know not all the the 16gb is available. But say I reach the limit (whatever it is) will that have any effect on my ram and performance? Does having a full internal memory slow the phone down for basic things like internet browsing, texting and just scrolling through the phone?

id have to say no on slowing down your browsing and any other applications. its when your ram is taken up during heavy multitasking that might slow down the phones performance.
