Help Internal Storage Problem

Lurker
A while ago I noticed that I only had about 500 mb of internal storage left on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S5), so I decided to buy a 32 gb micro SD card. As soon as I got it, I installed it and moved all of my music, videos, and photos to there, which in total was about 2.5 gb. Even though I moved everything that I could to my micro SD card, my internal storage still reads as 500 mb. Is there something wrong?

Hi and welcome to androidforums!

A couple of thoughts:

Did you copy rather than move them ?(in which case they would still be available from both sources) Have you checked whether they are still there in both places?

Are you running apps such as Play Music which are keeping the files on your device ie syncing them back?

Have you rebooted your phone to see if its just a matter of the storage "meter" not being updated.

Its always a good idea to back up files off the device to a PC or cloud service in case you lose the phone. If you have not done that, I would do it before anything else.
