Root [International] After root, drivers fail to install

I (successfully, I think) rooted my S3 and now I have a problem with my windows drivers.

I plugged it into the USB and nothing happened. It didn't show up in Computer. I opened Kies and it didn't connect. I uninstalled Kies and the drivers and reconnected the phone with USB debugging off and then again with it on, and received the following errors when windows tried to install the drivers


Device driver software was not successfully installed
MTP USB Device: Failed

and:

Device driver software was not successfully installed
USB Composite Device: Ready to use
MTP USB Device: Failed
CDC Serial: No driver found
SAMSUNG_Android: No driver found

So I reinstalled Kies to see if that would install the drivers. Connected the phone and windows attempted to install drivers:

Device driver software was not successfully installed
SAMSUNG Mobile USB Composite Device: Ready to use
SAMSUNG Mobile MTP Device: Failed
SAMSUNG Mobile USB Modem: Ready to use

I'm thinking that without drivers, I'm screwed.

Any ideas anyone?

Rebooted the phone and rebooted the PC.

Phew! All working

I felt sick for a little while there.

yeah this caught me out too. Spent 2 hours reinstalling and restarting the computer. just had to restart the phone

same problem here also not able to sort out tiered lot can you any one help me out from this problem
