Root [International] Going back from Custom to Stock and its not wooooorking

Ello!

So i rooted, installed CWM and had omega installed, then tried CM10 and back to omega.

Got fed up of the quirks with Omega and wanted to go back to stock. I downloaded 4.1.1 firmware from samsmobile (i have used this file before after a failed update to 4.1.2 stock). I went into Odin recovery mode on the phone, loaded up Odin and flashed the firmware. All OK according to odin and i restarted the phone.

The phone now turns on and just sits at the samsung screen. Ive reflashed the firmware once more and reset the cache and tried to boot again but still.... it hangs and hangs.

Help?

When you say it hangs and hangs, how long are you giving it? First boot after flashing stock firmware can take upwards of 10 minutes sometimes. You might also try downloading the stock img file again as it might have been corrupted during the first download.

I was giving it plenty of time... 20 minutes plus. But the Christmas ****** Award goes to me as the reason it wasnt working was i was flashing to the phone using the "phone" option not the "PDA" one.

DUHHHHH

I have flashed correctly and boom its working.

Thanks ;)

Phew! Glad you noticed that and got it working. Sometimes it's the simple stuff that bites us in the end. ;)

Massive pain :-P its all working now with stock plus Cwm and rooted. Don't suppose you know a green battery circle mod for 4.1.1?
