Root [International] i9300 EMEI + Broadband Uknown

Nastyniel

Newbie
Hi this is my first time posting on this forum don't be to hard on me im pretty new to the android world.

So i recently bought me an i9300 , so wanted ti have some fun with it so i rooted my phone all went well did this with odin flash was ok.

After that installed CM10 4.2.1 all went well so i had access to my root and everthing but when i wanted to install new ROM i accidently flashed a wrong ROM with CWR exact file (AOPK_JB_4.2_d2att-ota-eng.task560...) so after i rebooted no mobile connection anymore duesn't even ask me for my PIN code no EMEI or Broadband. and always saying no signal.. .

I wanted to flash him back to the original firmware but i am from belguim and i only find the luxenburg version this need to work al but i wanted to be sure or this woudn't hurt my S3 even more...

Searched the whole google i can't fix it but i have some good news i guess my EFS file is not empty so any can give my hints on how to fix it.

Already big thanks for you're attention Niel.

Thanks for you're quick reply .

Can I also try this method when I don't have a backup of my original efs file? I got a feeling this gonna end bad :/

I have a backup of my efs file but It was already corrupted when i did this.

I will try this as soon as I'm home big thanks again!

Okej so I'll back this one up and restore my other old one by using k tool.

I don't doubt youre knowledge but it doesn't sound logical that reimporting corrupted files can fix them but thx I'll try!

Restore the new backup you've made as the other one will probably be in a different format so ktool won't recognise it. You're right, it doesn't sound logical but it works

Hi so I made back up to SD card.

After restoring the IMG file first i restored the tar file phones keeps on looping now , cant even go back to android guess they call this bricked right?

Cant do anything should I go to original firmware ? because now i got nothing LOL

Strange, I've had to recover my imei using the same method and that didn't happen before:confused:

Can you still get into recovery mode? If yes try clearing cache and dalvik. If that didn't work do you still have the cm10 zip on your phone? If yes reflash that. If not it'll have to be a download mode and Odin job.

Edit: Do you have a nandroid backup. If so restore that.

I still can get into recovery i cleared delvik + cache still the same.

Flashed my CM10 rom again still the same.

Cleared all data + delvik + cashe + ROM reinstall still the same.

I only have a titanium back-up and one with kies but i guess i'm nothing with this it wont restore my complete system file only user data ... kinde stuck at this point

Aight thanks for helping me trough this , file is downloading now i will let you know when i flashed with resultat!

So basically i just download the file , flash the firmware with ODIN an try a reboot?

Yeah just flash with Odin and hopefully your phone should reboot itself. It's looking like I've caused you more problems than you had in the first place. I'm starting to think maybe ktool doesn't like 4.2.1

It needs to be something like that , its more incompatibility like you said it's strange that it was after the tar file and with the image he had no single problem

So I installed the stock ROM. after rebooting in android system recovery he gave me "E:failed to mount /efs (stale NFS file handle)

This is whats on my screen cant selec any option..
Thats all the info i get :/ guess it doesn't sounds good

Thats over now no looping just stuck on samsung start screen..

I was wrong i can browse used wrong button -_- to select , but the erorr is still there

So I downloaded the file and flashed it ,everything went well so ODIN said successfully.
Still the same error and went back in a bootloop .. maybe i should download the Luxenbourg firmware?

Sorry about that, I feel asleep. I've got one more thing we can try. Flash the ics firmware with Odin again but this time tick clear efs.

aight i will try it with wich firmwire the first one we downloaded? or it duesn't matter?

Btw sorry for all of these noob questions.
