Lurker
This seems like a really obvious question, but after over 2 hours, I can't find a solution. So here goes.
I have a i9300 running Rootbox JellyBam v3.9.1 and the ringer and notifications are insanely loud over the headset. I like to listen to music, but when my wife rang me a few days ago my ears were so painful and still are. This is with the in ear sumsung s3 headset.
Of course, I can turn the volume down but then I can't hear the phone ring if it's in the next room because the headset and loudspeaker volumes can't be unlinked. Seems a bit of an oversight.
I tried to use Tasker to set the volume low when I plug in the headset, but if I leave accidentally leave the headset plugged I can't hear the phone ringing in the next room. I then tried an ascending ringtone which means I only hear the phone ring from afar when I have no time left to get to it. SMS messages are still too loud.
I have looked through the Jelly bam settings many times but can't see anything to help with this.
Finally I plugged in a sony headset that is meant for iphones, so the button doesn't work, and the volume was much more tolerable - but still not perfect.
It is in part the problem of the headset, but mostly the problem of the OS.
Anyone know how fix this issue? Or a work around?
