Root [International] rooted i9305 can't send or recieve mms

I rooted my i9305 and removed the stock samsung sms app and replaced it with the default jelly bean messaging.apk app. Now when I try to send or recieve mms the app crashes. I can send and recieve mms with hanset sms, so the problem isn't network related, but app related. How can I get the default jelly bean sms app to send/receive mms? Thanks.

FWIW, the google messaging app doesn't work that well at all anyway with the Sammy roms, unlike the ICS one on sammy ICS which worked perfectly. i would recommend going back to the stock samsung one.

Yeah its a shame because its much nicer, the vanilla app, especially the black versions.

That would have been my next question. If I could change the look of the samsung app to look like the vanilla ICS sms app. Because I like the looks of that app better, it just looks cleaner. But judging by your post it seems like I can't change the look of Sammy's default app that much.

i use a theme called jelly bean domination for the gt-i9300 that makes the whole phone look vanilla. the sms app still has the speach bubbles but theyre better colours. i got used to it in the end. im not sure about 9305 compatibility though. might say in the thread on xda
