Root [International Tegra 3] HTC One X Bootloader Petition

Is that what your petition is for?? ;)

AT&T's HTC One X gets rooted, catches up with the global gang - Engadget

Not sure what the benefits are though, the phone is really good already.
Maybe would allow to get rid of the useless app ATT put on the phone and that we can't uninstall??

Exactly good for that. In the XDA thread on how to do this for the ATT One X is a link to a thread with the ATT crap you can remove.

Don't think there's much HTC can do - this is ATT's doing, HTC is otherwise happy to unlock bootloaders. Probably contractual non-disclosure clauses prevents them from just coming right out and telling people that ATT are the bazootie-heads responsible for this debacle.

this is just root... the bootloader is still locked so you cant flash Roms and Themes to it with out it being unlocked.;)

I totally see where you're coming from with this. However, you might be better off waiting for a proper S-OFF solution via the devs?

Given what htcdev does to your warranty, I'd much prefer a Endeavouru PVT Ship S-OFF at the top of my bootloader than the bright neon pink "UNLOCKED" I have currently.

I believe S-OFF is quite close for the International version, hopefully AT&T's solution won't be long either.

My bad then :o
I guess I'll have to read a lot more about all this terms, I'm kind of lost... But I'm not sure I'll tweak my phone, I did jailbreak my iphone to have more customization, but android let you do so much 'out of the box'... maybe later.
