Since I found it a bit hard to figure out all the steps necessary to get CyanogenMod to run on my Android, I wrote this tutorial:

This is my first time doing this, so be nice.

Also of interest, detailed instructions how to get access to the SD card on Linux when using HTC's Android 4.1.1.

As before, I found it a bit hard to put together all the information I needed, it seems a bit fragmented.

These are the steps I took to unlock the boot loader on my HTC One X:

Would just like to point out this is for the HTC One X international version. It was not locked to any carrier when I performed these steps. Be careful.
