Internet ans javascript

I have a samsung gallaxy mobile with i think android 2.2.
I also have windows home server.
Useing interent on the phone i can log into the server ok and view files.
I can also download files to the phone. Have not tried up load yet.
When i try to open the downloaded file i get a message like this.

javascript is required
please enable javascript in your web browser
open internet explorer 7
etc
etc

anyone help me out , how to fix

That is Microsoft's fault for having bad javascript detection code and non-standard browser detection code. They are trying to make it look like it is some how your phone's fault.

They have been doing it for years. It's called "embrace, extend extinguish."

As for getting things to work, I'm not sure if there is a way.

However, one thing you could try is the firefox browser. Since it isnt based on Webkit (like the default Google Browser is).

Another thing you could try is Dolphin Browser which lets you change your user-agent string in the settings. Though I'm not sure if you can do that in the free version or not.
