Internet app for Samsung J2

I keep getting this pop up on my J2 but I have not clicked it, it has only occurred since a new app appeared called “Internet” I managed to delete this app from my home page into the trash bin but it still shows up when apps button pressed, some times it is OK for a week but comes back now and again any ideas?

Go into safe mode and while you are there go into apps in settings and uninstall any that shouldn't be there.
 
I have tried that but the "Internet" app does not show a "delete" icon.
Is the "Internet" app legit? it was not on the phone when I brought it, at least to the best of my memory.

Did you go to apps in settings or are you just looking in the app drawer? All apps in settings have an uninstall button.
 
when in settings it shows a 'clear' button which I have pressed but nothing happens, when just from apps button and pressing edit all apps that can be removed show a delete button the Internet app is one that does not have the button.

If you are in safe mode, the only apps that show up are system apps, so if you are in safe mode and you still see the Internet app, that means it's a system app (it came with the phone).
 
It must be a default app. so where to now, how do I stop the pop up do you think it is a genuine FB message or a scam?

It's absolutely NOT Facebook, can see its web address in the message, most likely a compromised or pwned website somewhere. So I suggest try clearing the browser data.
