Help Internet Spike Issues With Gaming While the TV Box is running

Hey, my roommates bought an android TV Box and I'm a gamer and when they are using the box the internet becames really unstable and spikes like every 10-20 seconds and freezes the internet then continues at a stable speed until the next spike. This internet spike is only noticable when I'm gaming not browsing. I can't really think of anything that would cause an issue like this so I'm curious if anybody has some solves or even some explanation as to why this is happening.

The Android TV is a internet hog. During our benchmark tests the device requires alot of bandwidth while streaming in high quality. We have 60mbs and we get the same spike while watching movies and playing COD on PC. If you need to game tell your roomies to watch in SD lol..... that will help. - Canadian Androids Team
