I am in the same boat, but for different reasons. I'd like to play games on my phone mainly to waste time while waiting for something, so I don't really need internet-based games as much as possible [turning data on would eat my battery like crazy]. I played Dungeon Hunter 4 [DH5 was buggy, as they said, so steered clear of that one], and Ramboat. If you're more into puzzles, you can try Interlocked.

Jhayzone seems to have enumerated a whole lot of these games. If you can download the game on a separate wireless connection which wouldn't eat up your data allocation, I would recommend Real Racing 3. It's free and has great graphics and physics. Asphalt is great too and good if you have a fairly low to mid specced phone because you can adjust the graphics settings in-game. And unlike Saffy216, I've managed to play Dungeon Hunter 5 pretty smoothly, though as he said, the Play Store review is a bit mixed on that matter.
