This old lady just joined the forum to read & learn how to use my first smartphone, a cheapo Pantech Breakout, with more bells,whistles than I can ever learn to use...just one question some kind soul may answer? How do I turn down the email notification? Thanks in advance, Helen

Hello and welcome to Android Forums, Helen!

If you press the menu button and go to settings>sound>volume you may have an individual volume slider for notifications. Because these adjustments vary by phone model and Android version, it may not be there so don't be concerned if it's not. . In that event you'll want to check with other owners in Pantech Breakout - Android Forums and see if they have a solution.
