Vodaphone Contract, UK

Hi,

I'm experiencing an unusual problems with my contacts. When I view my contacts via the People application, about 40 contacts have gone missing following a sync.

I check View and all my remaining Google Contacts are showing, Phone and SIM show (0). I've checked these tick-boxes anyway but none of the missing contacts are re-added. However, when I enter Phone from the home screen and type in a name of a missing contact it comes up and I can view the contact card which says it's stored in Phone (rather than Google), it just doesn't show up in People.

If I use the ExportContacts application from the Market it doesn't export the missing contacts I can see via People. The numbers are in my phone but don't show up properly!

Thanks.

Is it possible you're the victim of the auto-merge feature in Android's contact list?

I have company contacts (with no name, only company name) that merge into contacts for employees of the company.

If so, you need to find the merged contact, edit it, and the split it.
