iOS functionality missing in Android?

The TPT(ThinkPad Tablet) is not only my first tablet but my first android device and overall I have been very happy with both the hardware and android. There are some functional things that iOS has that I think are missing in Android and I am wondering if anyone knows of an app that will add these functions.
When I get an email in iOS address to multiple recipients I can add any of the recipients to my contacts by clicking on them. In android I can only figure out how to add the sender.
In iOS if I get a email with a date and time in it both are automatically displayed as hotlinks that take you directly to the calendar so that you can add the event to your calendar. In android this does not seem to work.

My google event invites show up directly in my google calendar where I can accept or decline directly.
