IP cam viewer help needed

I recently put "IP Webcam" from Googleplay on my android smartphone and have no problem viewing the streaming video on my PC laptop running Windows 10.

The problem is that I have not been able to view the streaming video from my android tablet, an Idolpad Plus running ICS.

I tried viewing thru a web browser, I tried many various setting on viewing apps from Googleplay like "Tinycam monitor" and another simular one I can't remember the name offhand.

Are there any simple easy to set up apps or methods to view streaming video from your smartphone over your LAN wifi to your android tablet ?

Ip cam viewer comes in three flavors:

1-ip cam viewer lite ...

I used the basic app (2) at one time and it worked fine (one phone had ip web cam....other phone had ip cam viewer lite and could view output from first phone). Still have it on my phone.

I did notice the recent reviews of the lite version (1) complain about very intrusive ads (I presume the ads try to nudge you toward the pro). I don't recall obnoxious ads in basic version. Also don't really remember difference of lite vs basic vs pro version.

I already seen those on Googleplay and after reading some reviews about going from acceptable banner ads to intrusive full page ads I saw no sense in even downloading those, as far as the "Pro" version I did not want to pay for an app I am not sure would even work considering the problem I have had so far with getting ANY viewer app to show streaming video on my android tablet.

Here are some of the reviews -

A recent review of "IP Cam Viewer Lite" included "DO NOT INSTALL!!!, I repeat, do not install, not sure what happened or if developer is still in control of his account, but the application has been horribly altered to becoming pretty much just an ad platform that will randomly play video ads that are hard to close....."
A recent review of "IP Cam Viewer Basic" More and more restrictive This app was once a good little app for viewing network cameras. It was free and only put banner ads on the screen. Then it started putting up full screen ads with audio if you viewed the camera for ten minutes. Now it disables the view altogether after ten minutes. I've already moved on to another camera viewing app and will not be back. Another recent review said "Ruined by full screen ads"

Are there ANY viewer apps that are easy to get to work AND do not have full page ads ?
