Help IP Config Problems

Im having problems connecting to my wifi on my tablet.I have a nextbook ares 10a.When I look at the wifi page it says "obtaining IP address" nonstop. Sometimes it even says up configuration failure.Ive gone so far as to even factory reset my tablet.I don't know what to do.

Does this happen to any WiFi network or only your home network?

"obtaining IP address" indicates that you've connected to the wifi access point and it's now trying to get an IP address from your router (acting as a DHCP server). Most home routers are set to only provide IP addresses in a certain range and lease them for a day, but if you've got a lot of devices, you could in theory run out of IP addresses. It could also be that the DCHP portion of your router's firmware has locked up. Have you tried rebooting the router?

Do you have access to your router, or to the person who does? Perhaps there is a restriction such as MAC address filtering that prevents unauthorized devices from connecting?
