Hi,

I have a Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360 model phone. I'm planning to have 3G internet through vodafone in my phone. Is it possible to connect internet from my samsung phone to ipad 2(without micro-sim slot) by enabiling hot spot feature?

Please suggest. If not possible, any work around is highly appreciable.Thanks.

Regards
Jim

Hi and welcome to Android Forums. :)

Go to settings > wireless and network settings and there should be an option for portable wifi hostpot, or something similar. Enable that.

If your service plan doesn't allow 'tethering' then there are a number of workarounds available on the internet, but I am not going to detail those as it would be against your providers TOS and I can't in good conscience give you the tools to circumvent your provider's terms of service.

Then go to your ipad and find the wifi network that corresponds to the name of your phone and connect to it.

When I had a Galaxy S3, I connected it to my iPad 2 on more than one occasion without incident.
