IPad - gmail?

Wondering if anyone can help with this. On the iPad there is the mail option where you have a gmail option which is permenantly logged in. I didn't want my personal email address permenantly available to anyone who opens the iPad so I have an account which I just use for "anything" but can't access my original account.
I've gone to SAFARI and tried to open googlemail on there but it sort of scrambles and freezes and I have to shut it down. Is this because the mail option is logged in and so conflicting with the safari? And if so how do you access a separate gmail account? Tbh I don't want it permenantly logged in but there doesn't appear to be an option where you flit between gmail accounts.
Cheers.

You should be able to add as many gmail accounts to the native email client as you want. But it will always be logged in. If youre concerned about security, set a PIN.

You shouldn't be having a problem with Email client and Safari simultaneous logging, since I do it without a problem.

Have you tried going to Settings --> Accounts --> and putting you "everything" account inactive (in grey), and you "not everything" account active (in blue)?

I can't help you much, have the iPad in spanish :S, but you can login several accounts in the native Email client, as SUroot said
