iPhone 4 user - buy Android now, or wait?

I'm on the fence at this point about switching, but I think I'm ready.

If I want a Verizon LTE Android, should I buy now (TB or Charge) or wait for something else?

I see some dual-core phones coming out - think VZW will have an LTE one in the next month or two?

I'd hate to get one now (leaning toward Charge) only to have a much faster one just around the corner (I know, always something newer coming out that's cheaper and faster.)

I would wait if you like having new technology. The current LTE lineup is a joke. They barely have any advantages to my 1 year old Incredible. Actually the advantages cancel out because the current LTE phones have abysmal battery life.

The Charge has very good battery life even on lte. Its powerful enough. As if right now no one knows the future of the Bionic and it could be a long time until we see a dual core lte device. I am sure by the time one hits unlimited data will no longer be offered. I plan on upgrading to something dual core and lte in the future but for right now the Charge has been great and I would not want to use any other device currently on Verizon.

I would go ahead and upgrade, no telling when dual core and LTE will finally surface, if you upgrade now you can avoid the tiered data and if a dual core phone does come out you want you can sell the TB or Charge and buy the other phone for full retail

unfortunately scott the turn around for new android phones are 6 months, where as iphones are once a year, so basically in 6 months of purchasing a new android phone it is possible a new one will be out within that time, it will be better and nicer, possibly faster. i have had the dx1 for over a year, and still content with it.

are you in an LTE area? will you see one before your 2 year contract?
dual core phone(s) are coming out so far the DX2 is the only one, and the issues revolving around it are doing more harm to it than good. i would check out each of the forums for Charge/TB/DX2 and get a feel for it.

Also the best method is to go into verizon and play with the phone yourself.

Yeah I'm in Dallas, LTE everywhere. I'm almost ready to pull the trigger on a Charge.

I'd say go to the store, play with the Charge and TB and get a feel for em. If you fall in love, buy it then and there. That's what I did....

I just did the opposite of this. Lol. I was on Sprint and had the EVO. Then switched to VZW and got the Charge. I went back 2 days later and bought an iphone too.
