iPhone 4S to Galaxy S3 Convert

Hi All,

Got my brand new Galaxy S3 today.

Was worrying all week about whether I'd get on with it or not having been on iOS for so long (since '09).

Well, so far so good, I absolutely love it.

Haven't been able to stop fiddling with it yet, still got to download some killer wallpapers and apps and put some music on but from what I've played around with today I think it's a truly awesome phone.

And please for the love of god, letthe battery get down to 5%, charge it 5 minutes past when it says 100% charged and then letit die down to 5% again before charging. This should ensure we don't see another my 4S had better battery life than the S3 thread. :D

Well I ran it down to nothing out of the box today (with a 20 minute top up in the car), then charged it to 100%+ (extra 5-10 minutes) so fingers crossed!

Just a quick update.

Ran it through yesterday from 10:30AM and it lasted until 3:30AM the next day so the battery life is comparable (if not better) than my old iPhone 4S.

Have found downloading apps from the Play Store from my iMac/Macbook Pro an absolute cinch. Had a tiny bit of trouble with the standard Samsung keyboard as it doesn't auto-punctuate and auto-correct words the way the iPhone keyboard does, but no big deal, downloaded Swiftkey 3 and think that'll help.

I did have one huge problem earlier today though when I tried to get my iTunes music on my phone. I only have the 16gb version so couldn't put all my songs on the phone's internal memory so it had to go on my 32GB Micro SD I've got in it.

I tried 5 different apps on my Macbook Pro/Phone: Android File Transfer, Double Twist, iSyncr (managed to get my

I'm getting a bit frustrated with some of the bugs on mine..

Trying to copy to clipboard crashes the OS, and my only option is to factory reset apparently.

I can't use S voice over Bluetooth when its connected to my cars stereo using the aux port. This is something I usually do every day and it worked fine until I updated the software. :(

You can get photos off and on to your phone from a mac using Android file transfer. Its drag and drop. If you want to extract, take them from the phone and put them on your computer. Or vice versa.

Thanks, didn't realise It'd be that easy, I'll do that next time.

Have to say I haven't encountered any of these problems (touch wood!), I've only tried using S-Voice once and it seemed decent enough but is still a gimmick for me personally (as Siri is for the iPhone).

Mine hasn't frozen on me and there are no bugs as far as I'm aware. I have noticed the screen suddenly lighting up and then dimming occasionally but I've got auto-brightness on which is probably why it does this I suppose.
