I have an iphone 4 and want to use it as a hotspot for my Android 4.0 tablet. I turned on the hotspot setting on my phone, and the tablet recognizes it and even lets me connect, briefly. Then, before I can even open the app store, it disconnects, forcing me to go to the wifi setting and try to reconnect. Then it says "getting IP address" for the next 5-10 minutes before saying that the iPhone hotspot is out of range, even though it's less than 2 feet away. I thought maybe I could physically connect them with the chargers and such, and did, but the internet doesn't go between devices like that. I'm getting to the point of wanting to throw the tablet through the window because the iPhone is doing it's part, but the tablet is being stupid. Suggestions?
