iphone iphoto library to an android phone?

Hi all!

After being a long term iPhone user i have now woken up to the ridiculous prices for phone features that Android have had for ages!
I've been using a Nexus 7 and love the customisation that android gives me.
With this in mind, i aim to ditch the iPhone and get a Nexus 5 when it comes out.
Love Google Music and have found all the apps i have on my iPhone...the one thing i'm struggling to do is transfer my iPhoto library to Android.

My question is;

My iPhoto library on my Mac is 22GB
I can view all the 4000 pix on my iPhone iPhoto library but the size on the phone is only 2.95GB, so i know they get compressed.
Is there a way/app for me to transfer my iPhoto library to my future Android phone?
I've looked into Picassa, but that just messes the whole folder structure up and i can never find the photo i want to view by going to an album's name as i currently do.
I know that Google Drive and Dropbox can be used and synch with iPhoto but i have 22GB to transfer over and i don't have enough storage on those.
I dont mind paying for an App that will make the transfer an easy process.
I don't need to edit the photos on the phone, just to view them.
I have searched on Google but so far all the options don't suit due to the size of the iPhoto library or due to the Albums names / folder structure being messed up and not making sense.

Thanks in advance for any advice! :)

Good question.

My missus has a similar issue: she has masses of photos on her Air but it's a work machine so she'd like to transfer them to an external drive.

I know nothing about Mac OS (I'm an IT pro so obviously never use Macs) but if it's possible to transfer pictures to an external drive (which, surely it has to be), it ought to be possible to transfer them to a phone connected via USB, just using copy & paste. The N5 has 32GB so in theory you could get the entire library over there uncompressed.

Would obviously be easier if you had a PC :D
