iPhone running Android

Figured it would only be a matter of time. Lets see if he comes up with a hack for the 3G+ iPhones...

It's still a bit buggy, but this guy's iPhone is running Android. More than that, actually. His phone now gives the choice to load either the iPhone OS or the Android OS.

That's awesome...

Can you imagine Steve Jobs face after being told that there is a huge black market for dual boot iPhones?

I'm guessing he'd have a stroke.

I just want to know if you can download apps from the market. As I have said before, I am not a big iPhone fan, but the one thing it does have I would want on a phone is the app store. If you could have a phone that had both iPhone apps and Android apps, would be awesome.

couldn't apple just put some code in the next update that will remove the hack or is it too complex for apple to sort out?

The first gen iPhone isn't receiving 4.0 so unless Apple make an OS 3.x update specifically to kill this, the original iPhone should be safe.

As for the 3G upwards, that is a possibility but the hackers always seem to win in the end! :D

EDIT: If this gets ported to the iPod touch, I may have to play with it myself. :D

Multasking iPhone...

Is there a way to replace the iPhones crappy hacrdware too?

Crappy? The 2g iphone still has faster hardware today compared to other phones.

I don't see why not. The market isn't controlled by the hardware, just the software. I don't remember seeing it, but what build is this running?
