Iphones are dangerous!

based on the very little info we are given...

there was very little reason to use tasers...
a 44 yr old little woman.. trying to buy some phones..
i think there could be many other choices on how to handle her..
not a threat to anyone..

but..
because she was resisting arrest..and by other people's accounts of what happened.. she would not leave and force ably resist arrest by swinging her arms.
it is within the legal rights of the officers to use force to subdue her.

poor lady.. should have just given up.. and gone home quietly...
and find some place else to buy the phones to send to china, to resell or whatever...

she made a bad decision to stay and cause trouble...
cops made a bad decision to use tasers to subdue her...

Woman Tasered after trying to buy too many iPhones | Technically Incorrect - CNET News

Getting tasered is a little extreme.

Will someone please find me a smiley with a salt shaker?

Well, she did have 16,000 cash and she is from China and it 'tis the season for tasering" and she sounds like an iPhone Pig or perhaps a spy. I can see it. Sounds like she got what she deserved.

I was once tasered for buying more than 4 Denny burgers a few years ago when there was a long line of people waiting for the re-release of the McDenny's Rib sandwich.

I think I got beat up for purchasing more three packages of 1% 100k resistors at Radio Shack or something like that.

These things happen every day.

She should be glad she was tasered in the United states. In China, the tasering goes on for weeks at a time in a tiny damp and dark cell. And you do not get a phone. Just gruel, daily beatings and they pick your pockets.

At least she gets to settle out of court for a bizillion dollars.

More than likely nouveau riche. They do love their expensive designer luxuries, like Apple, Cartier, Rolex, Gucci, LV, etc.

I've heard stories of affluent Mainland Chinese going to New York and buying $20,000 Patek Philippe watches and Tiffany & Co. baubles and bangles by the bucket load.

BTW a 16GB iPhone 5 is equivalent of around $900 in China, probably much more on the black market.

Think if she tried the same stunt at a Beijing Apple Store, she'd have been dragged off to a laogai for 20 years, or bribed her way out.
