IR Dead after Marshmallow update?

Seems that after the Marshmallow update Samsung Peel and any other IR / infrared remote app no longer works. I see the blue light flashing when I press the button under peel but nothing happens. Anyone else experience this issue?

Nope, just tried it. Working fine. Try disabling and enabling again.

It's a brand new Note 4 so I'm not happy about it. They told me to bring it into a Best Buy to do a flash upgrade, which always makes me nervous as to whether I've truly backed up all the data off my phone as well as having to redownload and reset every single app. Big pain. But hopefully this will work out.

I use IR almost everyday (turn on/off projectors in my office).

No problems after MM update.
