irc app?

just wondering if there is a good irc application out there for the droid? (ive used AndChat but it times out) -- the problem is, i usually connect to EFNET and it seems as though it times out everytime i want to connect. i heard rumors that verizon has blocked certain usage of irc ports and i will not be able to connect unless i use wi-fi

does anyone have any information on this? or know of a way to get onto irc (specifically efnet) ?

iirc I used AndroidIRC and it worked pretty well, but only connected via WiFi. I remember reading one of the paid IRC apps can connect via 3G.

androidIRC is a paid app i believe.. and they all work with wifi.. its just the 3G doesn't allow the connection (it just keeps timing out).. the guy i emailed about androidIRC reported the same thing about verizon, that if i can't get it to work with other apps then it will do the same with his ;\
