Is adfree no longer working?

I just readded it after upgrading to gingerbread, and then added flikie hd wallpapers and asto, and both still have their ads running. 8/

Working great on 2.3.3 for me.

You may need to install host files and reboot your phone if you've just upgraded to 2.3.

Thanks.. I'll try a reboot and see if it fixes the issue. I pretty much buy anything I find useful, but am pretty tired of the ad ware on the dx.

Edit: hmmm... what options do you have set in adfree? I just rebooted, and adfree has superuser permission, yet I still see the ads in flikie hd wallpaper, and astro. 8/

I had Adfree installed for the last few months on a 2.3 until I went with a ROM that had integrated Ad blocking. It never worked even after checking/installing host file updates and restarting the phone. Every app that was Ad supported showed Ads. So I just went back to another ROM that natively blocked them (not just for that reason though). Not sure what the issue was. Most reviews in the market said it wasn't working anymore too at the time.

I just have rooted gingerbread installed, and crt animation close.

I'm using Android Revolution HD 4.0 β 4 Gingerbread & HTC Sense 2.1... it natively blocks ad hosts so I don't use AdFree anymore.
