Help Is data supposed to work when i get the phone?

I recieved my phone and have no data. Why is this? Do i have to activate it somehow? the only internet I can get is wifi and I have service here... I dont understand. Please help thanks. I am usingmetropcs

you should call Metro and tell then you are having this issue.
