Is HTC done with the stupid protruding camera cover design?

I love the incredible but I just cant stand the rtarded camera cover protruding out of the phone. Is HTC finished with this stupid design? I hope the next gen of 3.7" / 4.0" HTC units will NOT have this idiotic design. Nobody likes it, the phone cant sit flat on a table or desk which SUCKS imo. It increases the thickness of the phone in this small area. I cant believe HTC engineers/designers thought of this and thought to themselves "Yes this is a good idea." Its mind boggling. It doesn't make any sense.

I beleive that it protrudes because it is not a single lens camera. Optical zoom, etc is all possible due to it using a motorised compound lens.

Once you put a skin like an Otterbox on the phone, it no longer protrudes and isn't really a problem for me at all.

I happen to like the protruding lens on my EVO This is the least of my concerns. It doesn't bother me much and I actually think it adds character to the phone. I see that iPhones have a nice flat back, you should look at getting one of those --- Or the Thunderbolt.
