Is it me or is Verizon...

Is it me or is Verizon the most ICS-phobic carrier out there? I know that Motorola is the moalst ICS-phobic manufacturer in the universe!

I am not sure why you would think that. The nexus is available and I don't know if any other carriers are selling any phones that come with ICS...

Also, there's obviously official updates in the works for allot of the recent Verizon phones. Including the Moto Razr. That it's taking allot of time for the official updates to be pushed out is no surprise, but that's always been the case. Be patient, you'll see more ICS over the coming months.

Verizon had the first phone with ICS. Motorola is planning on updating many of their recent Verizon phones to ICS. Soon, Verizon will probably have the largest selection of ICS phones of any carrier. Your argument is invalid, good sir.

Anymore I never speculate on ICS or anything comming out...look at Gingerbread...for multiply phones they stated it would be "soon" which meant 3-12 months. Until it comes out I wouldn't count my eggs.

Most importantly, don't buy a phone for what you think it can do in the future, buy it for what it can do right now.

Verizon knows that if an upgrade goes bad, 99% of the people won't say "My Motorola phone doesn't work anymore", they will say "My VERIZON phone don't work no mo!" Verizon has a corporate image to uphold, and they want to make sure their business partners are aware of that. People jump from carrier to carrier all the time. I went from Cricket, to T-Mobile, to Verizon myself. Verizon doesn't want to loose revenue and potential revenue based on a failed upgrade by a manufacturer.

^^+1

Yeah they don't want to send out an update that isn't ready. I can't blame them updates should feel like beta tests.
