Help Is it normal my battery lasts 6hours?

Hi,

I'm very new to android and it's my first real smartphone but the battery is becoming a real nightmare!! I admit i use it intensif like whatsapp,internet all the time.

I discreased even the brightness to the minimum but still i charge my battery 2x a day!! Honestly i have a car charger,another home charger in my car to charge it at my work and a charger at my home. I have to walk around with a charger all the time!!

What could be the exact problem? I don't make too many phone calls neither so i really don't know... . I have android 2.3.6.

Go to settings --> battery usage and tell us what is consuming the battery. 6 hours is definitely not right, I get 20 hours when I use it a lot and even 36+ hours when I don't use it that often.

You can save battery by turning data and wifi off when not using it. Or you could turn off synchronization, but then you will have to manually refresh your apps like social networks, mail, weather,...

Hi man,thanks for your reply. If my phone would last 20 hours i would be the happiest man on earth!! But again i use it very intensif.. constantly on the net then back close it then go to whatsapp then back internet.. .

I heard before too that it's better to close wifi and data when you don't need it but come on man what is that??? Then i have to be busy all the day with turning it on/off??? Isn't there a "one push button" to turn off wifi and data in one time instead of going through the menus all the time??

God help me please!!!! I bought a new phone and i love it but the battery is becoming my worst nightmare IN MY LIFE!!!

I can't believe my "Deep Sleep" is so low because i really turned EVERY app off just before i made this pic... .

Hmm normally it should be you display which consumes the most of your battery. Can you remember when this battery drain started? It would be even better if you can remember which apps you downloaded around that time. Often it's a 'rogue' app which drains battery.

About turning data and wifi off, there are tons of widgets that let you manage it in one click. I just need to press the widget and my data is off.

Hey guys.. i really don't know what happened but it's shocking.. my battery last now almost 15hours!! I had to format my phone a few times due some internetproblems so that could maybe delete some app that was killing the battery and idk but i'm really thinking it was the app "footmob".. that is a livesoccer app that shows the soccer results all over the world so maybe it was constantly downloading and draining battery!!???

The second reason could be that my battery just wasn't charged good enough in the beginning like it should be.. : 3x fully charge more then 12hours and then empty it again and reboot each time?? Maybe now it's charged good??
