Help Is it possible and safe to delete stock apps?

I'm a novice, so I don't even know what "rooting" means, let alone how to do it.

But there are some things like flight times and visual voicemail and ciao that I can't see myself ever using, and I'd like to get rid of them.

Are any of the app-deleting apps capable of removing stock apps?

You will need to root to do it. I was skeptical doing it because i didn't know anyone that had rooted their phone.

I used z4root its one click and your done. You can back up your files with any of the top rated backup apps. I used "my backup root" but there are others. I also like "onthefly" backup. Just make sure that what you are deleting is backed up in the folder before you do it. You can also reinstall the latest update for your phone to reinstall it to stock.

If you haven't registered your phone at the GarminAsus site do so. You will get redirected to Garmin also the map update takes four hours just fyi.

My phone is updated to 2.1 and also installed the Swype keyboard from swypes website. It kicks butt on the stock keyboard.

Also have been trying to move apps to sd with no luck.

Hope this helps.
