Is It Possible for a 4G Update?

I could be dreaming but does anyone think it's possible (which I'm sure it is) for an update in the future to unlock this feature that may just be in the Nexus 7? I have no problem paying for it. But knowing how things go, we may not see this until it's successor releases.
 
No, it is not equipped for it, sorry
 
Without the hardware radios inside, designed to communicate with the cell towers, there is no amount of software that will help.

It's kind of like asking if a software upgrade to your car will add four wheel drive... or change your automatic transmission to a manual :)
 
It'll be interesting to see if Google even bothers putting radios into a Nexus tablet in the future. After all, it is easier and cheaper to just churn out wi-fi only tablets for the globe than it is to try to make them for each carrier in the world. Yes, it is done for phones but I'm sure if they didn't have to, they wouldn't.

Answer me this, how would this update create a SIM card adapter on your device?
