Is it possible for the Verizon S3?

to be unlocked? I noticed when I got it yesterday (switched from att) S3, that they are using sim cards now (been awhile since i had verizon). Does this mean it is possible to unlock my verizon phone if i want to go overseas?

There will be a Firmware update that will give that feature availability.

They have not yet released it but before the S3 on VZW release it was stated this would be a "World Phone" via firmware update.
