Didn't see any threads when doing a search so figured I would ask. I remember reading a thread on a car forum in their navigation section where someone did a nice write up of how they connected their smartphone (I think was an old windows 5.0) to their car nav screen and was able to use the phone from the touchscreen while it was connected to wires he ran to center console where the phone was.
I however was never able to find that thread again to see how it was done. I was wondering if there was a way (besides having an HDMI port on your player) to connect the phone so you can bring up the phone navigation on a non GPS DVD screen?
My in-dash Nav screen has been on the fritz and just made me think about that thread and looking at the huge price change in DVD with no Nav and a new NAV I thought would be pretty cool to use Google Nav from the in dash touch screen
