Help Is it possible to replace my security access card with my phone via NFC

I work in an office and we use a very basic key card to enter the building. My question is is it possible use my phones's NFC capabilities to replace the key card?

We have wave-n-go key cards at my office and tried to put it on my phone. Un-uh, not happening. Maybe in the not too distant future lock system manufacturers will catch on. Not yet.
