I have a Droid phone and a Xoom. Is there a set up feature or app that will allow me to sync my apps on both devices? For example when I'm using my phone and add something to AK Notepad I would like that note to automatically by available on my Xoom. Is this possible?
2011? Heh you dug deep to drag up this thread. The fact of matter is that depending on what you want to do many apps are designed with sync'ing and sharing built in or to save to some 3rd party service like Google Drive or Dropbox to make data available on multiple devices.
There are also apps like Sync which is designed to allow you to share folders on your devices without using a 3rd party.
So in 2014 the question isn't "is it possible" but "what do you want to keep sync'd".
Thanks for the reply, but :-( this is the answer I keep getting from all over: namely: one can sync data. Now, this I am aware of, and do, with google and cloud services. My question is: how to sync the actual app to my devices. I have three different android devices. If I discover & install an app on one, I'd like it to automatically be available on another device. Else, each time I want to use an app, I suddenly have to start searching on which device I installed it...very tedious
To my knowledge you wouldn't be able to because when they apps install they have to configured per device, so you wouldn't be able to sync them.
Personally I just do it from the Play Store on the web - then it is just selecting each device in turn and can be done all at once without having to go to each device.
